Reports say the Prime Minister's energy adviser is working on an action plan to
provide gas connections to new industries. But whether such directive had
mentioned about providing gas connections to thousands of new flats and houses
could not be known. Some 5,000 ready-apartments worth Tk. 30 billion remained
unsold, putting the real estate sector in jeopardy. Since transfer of the
apartments has got stuck, both buyers and sellers of flats are counting loss
everyday.
