DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday summoned Krishok Sramik Janata League president Kader Siddiqui for branding Home Minister M K Alamgir as war criminal of liberation war. Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifur Rahman passed the order after a freedom fighter, Ruhul Amin, filed a defamation case against Siddiqui for terming MK Alamgir a war criminal.
The court asked Siddiqui to appear before the court on April 18.
According to the complaint, Kader Siddiqui said it is not possible to try war criminals keeping Razakar Home Minister MK Alamgir in chair.
He made the comment at a prograame at Engineers’ Institute of the city on February 9 which was reported in different media on February 10.
