| At present CAAB’s activities are being carried out from 3 international airports, 5 domestic airports and 7 STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) ports, with 1 new domestic airport under construction. |
| THREE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS There are three International Airports in the country. 1. Zia International Airport, Dhaka This is the largest and the principal international airport of the country. It is situated at the capital city Dhaka. Almost all international passengers embark at and disembark from Zia. More than 90% of aeronautical functions of CAAB is carried out from it. 2. Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong This airport is situated in the port city of Chittagong. It is the second largest airport and the alternate airport to ZIA. 3. Osmani International Airport, Sylhet It is situated at the city of Sylhet, a district at the North-East corner of the country. It has been upgraded to an international one in order to facilitate the people of the district which is famous for a large number of residents of United Kingdome. | FIVE DOMESTIC AIRPORTS The country has five operational domestic airports. These are: 1. Saidpur Airport UNDER CONSTRUCTION SEVEN STOL PORTS These STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) ports are situated at the following places (the service is not available now): Lalmonirhat, Thakurgaon, Ishurdi, Shamshernagar, Tejgaon, Comilla, Bogra |
